ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Claims Department as a Claims Agent, an entry-level position pivotal to our operational success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, adept problem-solving abilities, and robust organizational skills, coupled with the capacity to effectively prioritize urgent tasks.

Operating within a collaborative team environment, the Claims Agent will uphold a positive and professional demeanor while executing their responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Claims Manager, this role entails the acquisition, documentation, research, and processing of claims on behalf of the company, internally.

Moreover, candidates should exhibit proficiency in navigating challenging conversations and possess negotiation skills essential for effective resolution.

This is a nonexempt role, with an expected schedule of 7:00am to 4:00pm Mon-Fri.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate with customers, employees and insurance providers via phone and email to help gather details and supporting documentation for claims.

Take statements from internal and external involved parties.

General knowledge of products, services and application.

Research, analyze and upkeep notes in Claims management system to determine coverage.

Work closely with the Claims Manager and team to ensure accuracy of claims.

Maintain professional demeaner towards confidentiality and sensitive information during claims handling.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong foundation in customer service with the ability to de-escalate and manage expectations.

Ability to learn different software and operate them at the same time.

Office experience preferred, but not required.
