Enterprise Architect Role & Responsibilities
Overview: The 3Cloud Enterprise Architect is primarily responsible for providing technical delivery and leadership on large, often global Fortune 1000 strategic client engagements. The Enterprise Architect operates broadly across all 3Cloud practices, including Application Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Data & Analytics. The Enterprise Architect would be well-versed in a wide array of technologies and have a comfort level speaking with customers with key leaders and the executive level. The Enterprise Architect would look for ways to advance our technical solution offerings, develop training programs for account project team skilling into new technologies and Azure services as required, relationship development (across delivery practice areas, sales, clients, and MSFT counterparts), and cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture through our 3Cloud communities.
People Development
Biweekly or monthly syncs with project team Architects from individual practices to align on technical solutions, team collaboration opportunities that help the team advance their skills and competencies.
As an SME, provide support to solution architecture presales teams to align presales and delivery expectations around the solution definition and delivery execution (participate in offering committees)
Serve as coach in a player-coach model to help support the upskilling of team members
Help prescribe certification tracks for consultants and architects
Create reusable process and content for large customer engagements
Help foster and build relationships between internal team members and those external to our 3Cloud team (including Sales, Client contacts, & MSFT)
Help strengthen our technical team's consulting capabilities
Delivery Support Activities
Function as a lead Azure Architect with strong consultative skills on multiple client engagements, including strategic accounts that have strong growth potential
Broad deep technical knowledge across Azure and non-Azure technologies inclusive of: Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Security Center, Azure Networking (App Gateways, Front Door, Firewall, VWAN), Azure Storage, Azure Automation, Azure Sentinel, App Services, Containers (AKS), Managed Instances, Azure SQL, Azure DNS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Files
Help the team reach billable targets by assisting with breaking through project blockers
Help facilitate change orders and project extensions with SA Team when in-flight projects require it
Help drive alignment where there are technical mesh points between other 3Cloud practice areas by providing technical oversight and driving cross practice solutions that enable our strategic customers
Keep apprised of the latest technologies and how they may impact existing 3Cloud offerings
Identify and initiate new offering opportunities
Develop relationships across multiple customer groups
Help lead and guide others on the team towards ‘land & expand’ best practices inclusive of: identification of next up opportunities, escalation of the opportunity to account team, establishing partnerships with account executives and solution architects across all practices
Business Development Leadership
Gain architectural level depth in all 3Cloud offerings in all practice areas to help position in existing engagements
Work with Consulting Director to develop relationships with all practices that help form bridges (ex. Presales, Cross Practice, Develop Microsoft relationships)
Look for collaboration mesh points to drive more business through our strong MSFT partnership
Support, lead and guide high profile strategic account conversations with client XLT leaders, including advising CTO’s and CTA’s on strategy as needed
Qualify 3 rd party vendors that we want to establish business partnerships with that add value to our team’s capabilities and work with our 3Cloud alliances team to pursue these relationships

Reach trusted advisor within 1-3 strategic accounts
Lead and guide multiple engagements that help enable all of our teams to scale out
Help support teammates with unblocking engagements and remediating possible escalations before they happen
Help define, create, and drive new infrastructure offerings that help drive revenue
Implementing training and mentorship programs to help grow our younger in career team members
Create reusable artifacts and content that enable our team members to streamline deliverables and add value to our strategic customer engagements.
Individual Targets
Maintain 50% Utilization target (20 Hours a week) – Consultant Bonus Plan Alignment
Help peers break through technical blockers and maintain strong team utilization
Coach, mentor, and train younger in-career team members
