Our client is continuing to expand their E&S Division and seeking to add a Regional Underwriting Director. This role involves leading a team of E&S Casualty Underwriters, developing and implementing underwriting strategies, ensuring profitability, and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale brokers and clients. This person will also monitor and manage the E&S casualty portfolio to ensure a balanced and profitable book of business. Ideally this candidate will be local to our client's Arizona or Georgia offices.
Lead and mentor a team of E&S casualty underwriters.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve profitability and growth targets.
Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
Oversee the underwriting process, including risk selection, pricing, and policy issuance.
Requirements:
7 - 15+ years of E&S Underwriting experience
3+ years of Underwriting Leadership/Management experience
Proven track record of building strong business relationships with brokers and agents.
In-depth knowledge of E&S casualty insurance products, markets, and underwriting practices.
Strong communication, analytical skills, and business acumen
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.
Salary/Benefits:
$225,000 to $275,000 plus Lucrative Bonus Incentives
