Job Summary
As a Protech Calibration Technician Apprentice you will be provided mentorship and training to learn how to perform a wide range of Advanced Driver Assistance System Calibrations by following OE specifications and repair standards. You will gain confidence as a calibration technician across a wide range of manufacturers. Initial training is provided by Protech as well as a robust virtual support team and continuing education on new vehicle technology. The goal will be to graduate from a Calibration Technician Apprentice to either a Protech Calibration Technician or On-Site Calibration by the end of the 7th month in this roll.

* $20 - $25 an hour
Roles & Responsibilities
* Customer service focused, ability to develop relationships and deliver operational consistency
* Perform static and dynamic ADAS Calibrations on foreign, domestic and EV (electric) vehicles onsite at customer locations
* Troubleshoot complex calibration repairs
* Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed
* Adequately explain ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs; to include collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and direct customers
* Basic knowledge of how to remove and install vehicle parts - Example: Bumper, trim panels, mirrors
* Complete pre and post scans with OE and/or aftermarket tools, communicate outcome effectively
* After training completion, must be able to complete static and dynamic calibrations per OE specifications
* Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
* Responsible for ensuring tooling software updates are completed immediately
* Accountable for assigned inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, other equipment provided)
* Participate in virtual (online) training sessions
* Complete assigned training and certifications
* Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through our company purpose and core values
* Maintain a well-organized work area
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
* 1-year automotive repair experience preferred but not required
* Automotive repair experience preferred but not required
* Trade school experience a plus
* ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus
* Ability to learn and understand collision repair processes and terminology
* Successfully complete Protech ADAS Calibration Training
* Understanding of technology & basic software programs
* Ability to learn Aftermarket and OEM diagnostic scan tools and factory software
* Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
* Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
* Self -motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision
Requirements:
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
* Ability to pass a background check
* Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
* Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
* Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
* Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
* Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
* May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
* Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
* Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
