We are looking for a driven and experienced professional to join our team with the potential to advance to the Director of Construction.
Job Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to join our team and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale commercial construction projects. This role offers a unique career progression opportunity, with the successful candidate having a clear path to becoming the Director of Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Extensive knowledge of Contracts and ability to minimize potential obstacles.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry.
Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial projects successfully.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Excellent leadership, communication, execution and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
