Information Technology Analyst

Norcross

Job Description Job Description A well-established professional services firm located in Norcross, GA is seeking a dependable, dynamic Information Technology Analyst to provide general end-user support and systems administration. The Information Technology Analyst will work closely with the IT Operations Director as well as other departments, teams, and partners to ensure technologically sound, timely, and cost-effective management of the firm’s systems and network infrastructure. The successful Information Technology Analyst will have the qualifications listed below and be able to bring innovative ideas to the firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide end user support for applications, desktops and laptops in the office and for remote workers

Setup, deploy and decommission servers, desktops and laptops according to the firm’s security standards and policies

Complete new user account setups, as well as account changes and deletes in timely manner according to firm procedures

Manage Active Directory and Group Policy within server 20XX environment

Evaluate and optimize server, network and end user systems regularly

Use VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon to manage the firm’s virtual servers and virtual desktops running on VMware ESXi in a clustered environment with network attached storage

Manage and maintain the firm’s cyber security to protect client data

Manage network monitoring systems ensuring alerts are functioning and are resolved in a timely

Manage and maintain the firm’s physical servers and all workstations to maximize performance and reduce downtime. This includes monthly patching and other necessary upgrades

Monitoring the network (LAN/WAN) for threats or errors

Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 / Azure

Manage SMTP connection points between firm software and Microsoft 365

Manage integration between Mimecast Security Solution and Microsoft 365

Manage and maintain Exclaimer for signatures, taglines, and special department requests

Assist the IT Operations Director with surveys and maintain the firm’s compliance with the firm’s clients, which includes banks and mortgage companies

Serve as the backup IT contact for all auditors

Assist with the management of the firm’s disaster recovery and business continuity solution

Manage and maintain the firm’s GoTo VoIP system and knowledge of call trees

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of networking including DHCP, DNS, VLANs.

Experience with firewalls and VPN technologies utilizing 2-factor authentication

Familiarity of Network Access Control Systems

Proficiency with FortiGate firewalls and FortiGate VPNs

Experience with Cisco routers and switches

Understanding of scripting, automation, PowerShell, and excel macros

Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive working relationships

An adaptable and flexible attitude, that allows problem solving by examining issues from different angles

Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks

Working knowledge of mobile device management or endpoint management and security

Discretion in handling confidential information

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator for a mid-sized organization preferably in a hybrid cloud / physical server environment.

2+ years of direct customer support experience

Ability to provide on-call support in conjunction with the IT Operations Director

Excellent understanding of software, hardware, networking, and IT security
