KSA is searching for a Civil Project Engineer or an E.I.T. with experience in transportation design projects. As a Project Engineer, you would need to be passionate about and enjoy meeting clients and providing best in the industry solutions for their needs. A qualified candidate will have 3-7 years of experience, working knowledge of AutoDesk applications including AutoCAD and Civil3D, and have a propensity for leadership and development of other team members.

Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide engineering and design for projects relating to municipal and private sector clients. Typical projects include streets and roadways, drainage, sidewalks, round-a-bouts, and hike and bike trails.
Provides estimates for engineering fee budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
Ability to independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering projects.
Applies technical expertise to review, approve, and seal work if licensed.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers & design/drafting technical staff.
Ensure project compliance with all KSA practices and quality, safety, and governmental design standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
3-7+ years relevant experience in transportation engineering.
Current Professional Engineering License in Texas (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
Experience in the production of transportation construction drawings and specifications.
Familiar with MS Office Software (TEAMS, Word, Excel, Newforma, Bluebeam).
ArcGIS experience preferred.
Preferences
Experience in a leadership role on projects that delivered multi-disciplinary improvement projects.
Experience performing construction administration of public infrastructure.
Experience in delivering transportation projects for public clients.
Experience working with and managing survey, Geotech, and other subconsultants.
Experience with proposal preparations and interviews.
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
Good time and people management skills.
Good presentation skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
