SUMMARY
The responsibility of this position is to assure the safe and timely manner delivery of materials to and from the jobsite. The timely return to and from the job site for future loads are critical. Proper maintenance and care of the dump truck, completion of all paperwork, assisting with construction operations, and maintaining good public relations with customers is needed.
DUTIES
Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Customer focused take responsibility for customer relationships, appropriately represent JMAC Resources on the job site and while transporting product on public streets and highways
Problem prevention/solving able to proactively identify and solve problems and enlist the help of other as necessary
Drive truck in a safe manner to jobs.
At the site, the driver must be able to position the truck to assure safety to the client, coworkers and the traveling public.
REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated commitment to safety as expressed in JMAC Resources corporate value People First, Safety Always
Valid US issued Class A Driver's License, with clean driving record
Demonstrated ability of the operation of the truck.
Must possess a valid Medical Card
Demonstrated Ability to understand and follow DOT regulations
Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
Ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times a day
Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Must be willing to work and travel out of town
Ability to work safely in all types of weather
Ability to crawl under truck for inspection and greasing as required
Ability to lift hood, check oil and coolant levels and all other inspection functions daily
Moderately strenuous work. Must be able to climb in and out of the truck many times a day
Be at work at the appointed time ready to start your shift with proper safety attire and equipment
Must have a reliable phone that can reach you at all times, day or night
Perform pre-trip safety inspection of truck in accordance with DOT regulations, including checking fluids such as oil and antifreeze, check lights, and report any maintenance issues to the mechanic before getting dispatched
Ensure truck has full fuel tank at the end of the day
Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol tests.
