If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Mammography Technologist at our unique and impactful facility.

About Us: Our mission is clear: to reduce breast cancer mortality in the metro Washington, DC area by promoting access to breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, and referrals for treatment to all women regardless of their ability to pay. Located in Ward 8, we serve a patient population that has historically faced barriers to receiving care due to distance to providers and lack of transportation options.

Your Role: As a Mammography Technologist with us, you will play a crucial role in our mission. Working under general supervision and in consultation with the Radiologist, you will perform mammography procedures of both routine and difficult nature. Your responsibilities will include:

Using defined procedures, protocols, and equipment to provide information to support clinical diagnosis.

Ensuring proper anatomical structures of the breast are demonstrated for radiologic interpretation.

Operating stationary and portable radiographic equipment to perform procedures.

Loading cassettes and processing images for final analysis.

Ensuring equipment is running at its optimum peak.

Requirements: To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria: Completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, typically acquired in a two-year college or technical school program.

Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians.

ARRT certified in Mammography with current registration.

BLS/CPR certification.

A minimum of 3-6 months experience performing mammography procedures is required.
