About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP, Underwriting Center Lead to drive the execution of P&C underwriting center strategies, with a focus on achieving growth, profit, and service goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of staff, underwriting processes, marketing, and internal partnerships. This role requires a leader who can develop and implement strategic plans, utilize digital capabilities to improve production, and proactively seek solutions to protect business interests. The SVP will also be tasked with ensuring business results, managing relationships, and fostering a culture of transparency, communication, and accountability. Advanced leadership competencies and a strong background in underwriting center and branch operations are essential, including technical underwriting expertise and a proven track record in commercial property and casualty management.Candidates for the SVP, Underwriting Center Lead position at the company must demonstrate a history of driving profitable growth, retaining clients, and building strong partnerships. The role demands a leader with the ability to champion transformational agendas, initiate process and technology improvements, and maintain underwriting integrity. Strong relationships with both U.S. field commercial insurance and IP/LOB managers are critical, as is the ability to work with internal and external teams to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate will have a background as a senior-level center or branch manager, field or home office commercial underwriting manager, and will be adept at leading and developing underwriting talent. Emphasis is placed on the integration of commercial insurance products and the ability to collaborate across various business functions to execute strategies and achieve goals.
