System Vice President Perioperative Services

Our client is a comprehensive, fully integrated, healthcare delivery system that serves the greater North Shore and Illinois communities with several hospitals, over 1000 licensed beds and too many awards to list!
They have engaged our firm to identify a Vice President of Perioperative Services to run the entire system in one of the most desirable suburbs in the Chicago land area.
Position Overview:
Our clients are currently seeking a Corporate Vice President of Perioperative Services for our growing Perioperative team, which includes four Operating, PACU, Ambulatory, Anesthesia, Pain and Sterile Central Supply departments located across the headquartered in IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on the day shift, with 24/7 accountability.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Have 24 hours accountability for the operational and strategic functions within several Perioperative Departments which include: Central Processing, Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Surgeries, Minor Surgery, OPTC, PACU, the Department of Anesthesia and the Perioperative Business Office.
Interact daily with numerous ancillary and support departments, physicians, and administrators across a complex organization to create a fluid system for the delivery of safe surgical patient care.
Be a part of the administrative leadership team within the corporation, play a key role in the development of programs and service initiatives, marketing and promotion within the community, fiscal planning, quality improvement and Human Resources functions.
Partner closely with the Chief Nursing and Quality Officer to ensure nursing, quality, and safety goals are established and met.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have:
Clinical Background; RN License preferred.
Masters degree in healthcare or related field required.
Five to ten years combined and progressive management experience in Perioperative services required.
The ability to thrive in a matrix-ed health system organization preferred.
Excellent communication skills required.
