**Description**
MICRO CENTER is the nations leading computer and electronic device big box retailer! Our technology superstore has an industry-leading 40,000+ selection of premier computer products and the most knowledgeable staff in the business.
We are seeking a self-motivated, hard-working Retail Store Office Associate to balance the store safe, sort invoice paperwork and coordinate POS transaction-related activities of our high-volume big box retail store. These tasks account for 40% of the time, the remaining 60% is used to ring customers up and process In-Store pick Up orders. We have established industry leading COVID-19 health and safety standards for our locations nationwide to ensure the continued health both of our associates and customers.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Prepare store deposits and supporting documentation
* Process and reconcile daily paperwork for all store transactions
* Maintain the correct amount of change and cash balance in the safe
* Process requests for payment of all invoices
* Assist with training and front end responsibilities as needed
* Act as Retail Customer Service Representative (Cashier) when needed
* Maintain the department by ensuring a clean work area, conducting cycle counts, stocking and replenishing product and participating in merchandising activities
* Support store operations by maintaining loss prevention awareness and helping to prepare for physical inventory
* Participate in open and close procedures
* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**
* High school diploma or equivalent with proficiency in Microsoft Office
* At least one year related customer service or cash office experience required
* Professional appearance and demeanor and a sincere interest in helping customers
* The ability to communicate professionally and handle multiple tasks at once
* Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time
* Shifts include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
