Job Description:
The San Diego office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm is seeking a talented and experienced civil litigation attorney with a focus on insurance defense. As our ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of two years of relevant legal experience in civil litigation.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrated litigation experience, including attending court hearings, arbitration, and mediations. Additionally, you should have experience in taking and defending depositions, drafting discovery and contractual agreements, and be able to work on complex cases with minimal supervision. Trial experience is highly desired.
The successful candidate must be a member of the California Bar and possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional written and oral communication skills. We offer a highly competitive salary, health benefits, and a collegial work environment.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court hearings, arbitration, and mediations
Handle all aspects of civil litigation
Conduct legal research and analysis
Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Take and defend depositions
Draft discovery and contractual agreements
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of relevant legal experience in civil litigation
Experience in insurance defense
Demonstrated litigation experience, including attending court hearings, arbitration, and mediations
Experience in taking and defending depositions, drafting discovery and contractual agreements
California Bar membership is required
Trial experience is highly desired
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional written and oral communication skills
