Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in a Data Science role using data analytics, statistics, or mathematics.
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB) and database languages (i.e., SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with machine learning on computing systems like Hadoop, MapReduce, or similar environments.
Experience leveraging data insights into storytelling for business stakeholders.
Knowledge of SQL/MySQL, and R or Python.
Ability to convince business stakeholders and communicate complex analysis insights to non-technical audiences.
Ability to travel to meet with specific partner and client stakeholders.
Excellent communication and people management skills.

As a Business Data Scientist, you will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects. You are focused on delivering excellent customer care and make sure things go smoothly for our customers across the globe when they need us most.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000-$220,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Translate business problems from a supported organization or functional area into solutions and insights.
Create and implement reused and scaled solutions within the team's development process. Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to analyze impact on product or Google-wide metrics (including daily activities, retention, churn).
Provide technical mentorship in delivering project work including implementing data science solutions, improving data pipelines, developing evaluation metrics, or building statistical models that provide insights to the business.
Collaborate with Consumer and Engineering teams to write complex code and implement tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and the end user experience.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external consumers, advertisers, and publishers to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
