Product Manager - Carbon (hybrid in San Mateo)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to define the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Pulsora’s carbon management platform. You will work cross-functionally to launch products and features that help Pulsora customers measure and manage their carbon emissions. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, pre and post-sales, alliances, and business engagement to drive the development and launch of products and features. You’ll work closely with the founders and the leadership team to identify and prioritize the carbon management products and features we should develop and bring to market.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy focused on integrating carbon emissions calculations and management into our SaaS platform.

Client Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert on carbon calculations, providing guidance and support to clients during onboarding, training, and ongoing usage of the platform.

Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements and understand the needs of various user groups related to carbon emissions calculating and management.

Feature Prioritization: Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.

Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and updates.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging carbon calculation and management standards and requirements, as well as assess competitor offerings and industry trends.

Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of carbon-related features and initiatives, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and legal, across multiple timezones, to ensure alignment and support for carbon-related initiatives and drive the development and launch of new products.

About You

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related fields, MBA is a plus

5-8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a startup or similar fast-paced environment.

Experience working on sustainability and climate management initiatives or building carbon management products, with expertise in GHGP, PCAF, and GHG Corporate Accounting and Reporting is a plus

Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact!

A self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities and works well independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well with ambiguity and last-minute changes.

Ability to balance multiple priorities, meeting specific deadlines utilizing strong organizational skills.

Comfortable regularly working with teams across multiple countries and time zones.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.

Experience working with a global team, including the ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours with Pulsora’s offshore team in India.
