Job Summary:
This role involves supporting accounting applications and systems, developing and executing ad hoc queries, custom reports, and data workflow processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical and application support to users of financial applications.
Detect and correct cost recovery upload errors.
Build, optimize, deliver, and support new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and EDI.
Assist in designing report solutions and processes to increase optimization.
Develop data structures, SQL Views, stored procedures, and functions as needed for reporting/dashboards.
Develop and support SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards.
Generate standard and ad hoc reports via SQL and Reporting Services.
Customize front-end Elite 3E reports and metrics to meet required specifications.
Track, monitor, evaluate, and optimize reporting and dashboards based on end-user feedback.
Experience and Competencies:
Experience with accounting software; Elite 3E experience preferred.
Strong SQL skills with proficiency in SQL development, SSRS, and Power BI tools.
Ability to learn general functional and technical aspects of the firm's financial applications.
Excellent analytical skills with effective communication of results.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with IT members, firm members, and clients.
Ability to work efficiently, independently, and effectively under pressure.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities in a results-oriented environment.
Customer service attitude with the ability to work well with other groups.
Understanding of the firm's goals and objectives, with the ability to apply technology to solve business problems.
Availability and responsiveness to occasional after-hours issues due to near 24x7 firm operations.
Education and/or Experience:
College degree required.
3+ years of experience in a corporate IT role, preferably supporting and customizing financial systems.
Solid technical foundation and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher preferred.
Familiarity with query tools and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
Knowledge of relational databases required.
XML experience preferred.
Advanced report writing experience using tools like SSRS and Power BI.
Experience with core financial software applications such as Elite 3E, ChromeRiver, and Xcelerate strongly preferred.
Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping required.
