Position Summary:
As an Operations Supervisor on the DTG Recycle Team, you will be part of a community of valued employees who work together to process recyclables and reduce the amount of waste that goes to the landfill. You will work to maintain a safe workplace, improve production and manage costs. You will manage a team of sorters, equipment operators and others providing supervision and support daily. As the supervisor, you will create and maintain a culture that fosters communication, respect and growth opportunities for the team.
Essential Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Manages daily (plant) operations and maintains inventory for safety and operation supplies.
Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
Manages (plant) logistics and materials; supervises daily production; tracks KPIs; orders supplies as needed.
Supervises production staff and coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.
Oversees operations personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.
Required Experience
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
High School Diploma
4 years of relevant work experience
Experience managing to a P&L and building and adhering to a budget
Equipment operating, health and safety, and supervisory experience required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather
Prolonged standing and walking
Must wear company provided PPE
Compensation
$105,000 - $130,000
