We are now looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our US team to support our continued growth in CI. Specifically, we are looking for someone with prior management consulting experience, particularly in our heritage discipline, competitive intelligence.
Deallus Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Consultant in New York, NY.
Duties: Draft a robust project plan, including key milestones / delivery points, accurately forecasting resource and capacity, and identify potential project risks.
Manage the team to successfully deliver the project against the plan, including communicating regularly with the project team, leading day-to-day project and update calls, monitor actual capacity against forecasted capacity and raising any risks / red flags with the Client Lead as appropriate.
Understand the project budget and constraints and actively ensure expenses and costs are aligned with the project plan / budget.
Conduct project reviews and provides formal feedback at the close of every project (or at contract renewal for monitoring projects) to ensure key learnings from the project are captured.
Client Management Acts as the key point of contact for the client on the project, addressing any questions / concerns and flag issues with the Client Lead as appropriate.
Lead project status update meetings, both internally and externally.
Build relationships with the client project team through delivering quality work, regular follow-ups, and updates, etc.
Ensure client satisfaction throughout the term of the project.
Use a range of strategic frameworks, conceptualize complex data into simplistic, digestible, and meaningful insights for clients.
Manage a research team to ensure rigor and quality of data analysis, in line with the client's strategic objectives.
Delegate project delivery to the project team based on the project plan.
Manage the project team members to deliver the project against agreed timelines and objectives.
Ensure team members are well utilized (i.e. people are spending their time in the right way).
Provide feedback to project team members on a regular basis to support their continued development.
Address any performance issues in team members, linking in with the individual's line manager.
Required:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Health Science, or related occupation(s) plus 3 years of experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Health Science, or related occupation(s) plus 2 years of experience.
Requires 3 years of experience (2 years with Masters) in the following: Managing projects or streams of work within projects; Life sciences/pharma industry, recent trends, developments and current challenges; Delegation and people management; and Analytics and research.
Requires 25-30% of travel throughout the US on a client dependent basis. Telecommuting permitted.
40 hours/week, $130,000 - $150,000 per year. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
