This is a unique opportunity to work in a smaller region, but have the support and infrastructure of one of the largest Goodwill’s in the network, Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA). After the merger in 2020, Goodwill of Monocacy Valley has been able to grow retail revenue and stabilize operations with the support of GCNA’s innovative best practices.

Manages and ensures the execution of marketing programs for Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley (GIMV) and its affiliated entities. Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activation of marketing and communications activities in the GIMV region, including general support for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona. Leads the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal and external support and driving collaboration. These efforts will position GCNA as the regional leader in mission related services and the thrift retail and donated goods business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Manages local advertising and promotion in the GIMV region to execute on marketing and communications annual and seasonal plans, and additional marketing and communications deliverables in accordance with standards and logistic processes sourced from MARCOM leadership.

Partners with marketing department leadership to ensure advertising and marketing costs are within departments’ annual budgets set by the department heads.

Provides copywriting support ongoing internal, external, online and offline written communications and content initiatives, including bi-monthly job seeker e-blasts, print and online advertisements, brochures, web copy, and additional creative outlets, while ensuring consistency across internal and external communications for brand voice and messaging.

Outlines project timelines and collaborates with the marketing team to determine project components and due dates.

Works in partnership with the creative team, developing creative briefs and guiding creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.

In partnership with Communications team leadership, builds and maintains content calendar, copywrites content, and creates graphics, including taking photography for social media.

Collaborates and supports in the development of media and radio talking points.

Sources data to compile local reporting of social media, e-mail, and advertising activities.

Partners with marketing and communications third-party vendors and in-house efforts to identify, craft, and pitch stories to the media and the general public.

Builds and manages strong working relationships with Team Members, including regional leadership.

May periodically travel to Arizona offices.

May provide on-site support for various organization activities and events.

Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) :

Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, or another related field, Master’s Degree a plus.

Minimum of 5+ years’ agency or in-house marketing and communications team experience.

Impeccable project management skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated multitasking and decision-making skills.

Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.

Demonstrated experience in content management, social media, and other back-end marketing systems.

Experience building and delivering detailed recap reports.

Proficiency with community relationships, omnichannel marketing, retail integrations and social media strategy, preferred.

Ability to deal professionally in a corporate and not-for-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding communications and marketing projects and programs from inception through completion.

Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills, including news, business and persuasive writing.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills including proven effectiveness in one-on-one, group communications and media relations.

Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
