Summary
Cedar Gate Technologies seeks a Product Owner to organize, prioritize, and assess work for our scrum teams while being an outspoken contributor. As a Product Owner, you will gather featured requests, schedule releases, and coordinate sprints for CGT healthcare claims products. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. Ultimately, this Product Owner will aid in delivering healthcare software products to achieve Cedar Gates’s vision while furthering your career in product management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Incorporate feature requests into a product roadmap
Groom and prioritize backlog
Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
Set sprint goals
Write acceptance tests
Plan releases and upgrades
Follow the progress of work and address production issues during sprints
Analyze preferences and requests of end users
Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
Keep track of industry trends
Location: Preferably living in Texas, Connecticut, or Massachusetts, this remote position within the USA can also be hybrid remote if close enough to an office.
Required Experience / Qualifications
Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
1 to 3 years of experience working on healthcare financial management issues and problems, relating them to client's needs, and proposing appropriate solutions.
Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
Team spirit and good communication abilities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required.
Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.
Preferences – Not Required
Experience with healthcare claims processing, revenue cycle management, medical collections, or denials management
Membership or a Certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)
Agile experience
Ability to travel 20%, or significantly less if living in the Greater Houston area
