Wewill leverage your knowledge of and interest in design patterns and frameworksto directly shape and influence system architectural choices. Responsibilities
Build exciting new experiences on Fancandy'sweb and mobile websites
Work with other leads and production staff toestablish engineering tasks and schedules.
Contribute to setting the technical directionfor the team.
Balance time between managing and contributing throughprogramming.
Evaluate and mentor engineers on the team.
Serve as a partner in the team's leadership.
Interface with external teams to gatherrequirements, assist with integration, and provide visibility into the platformdevelopment roadmap.
Requirements
.NET platform, architecture andfundamentals experience
Distributed systems experience
Security considerations (encryption, denial ofservice, online payment) experience
Architecture (cloud, client / server) experience
Knowledge of network and server security issues
A passion for games, sports, or gambling (allthree a huge plus)
Strong communication and documentation skills
self-starter who can take direction, butmore importantly figures out what to do without being told
Can handle pressure professionally and canbecome more engaged as situations get tighter.
Desired
Experience building web or mobile products for awide range of platforms
5+ years of experience with C# or equivalentweb-based development
Experience with Python, Javascript, XML, JSON,CSS, Ajax, HTML5, jQuery or jQTouch
Experience building, debugging, andmaintaining large scale distributed web applications
Database development experience (MySQL, Oracle,PostgreSQL)
Leadership potential or previous leadership experience
Excellent verbal and written communicationsskills
Agile development exposure
UML diagramming experience (class, sequence)
Familiar with higher-level network protocolssuch as HTTP, SNMP, SMTP, FTP
Active user of Twitter/Facebook
Previous startup experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in ComputerScience, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
