Assistant Professor/Associate Professor

Function/Duties of Position

The duties of this position revolve around teaching, research, and clinical activities. The teaching duties of the position involve participating in the education and training of medical and nursing students, house staff, and the regional medical community. The faculty member will be expected to make a didactic presentation at the Division's Grand Rounds at least four times per year. The second component of the position involves establishing and maintaining scholarly research activity directed toward the improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of diseases. The clinical component of the position involves providing clinical care to patients at the University Hospitals and Clinics, as well as affiliated hospitals and clinics, and engaging in public service through consultative activities in the appointee's specialty with non-University groups. This position will maintain a broad reconstructive practice focusing on general plastic and reconstructive surgery including: free flap reconstruction for breast, lymphedema surgery, head and neck, trauma, lower extremity reconstruction and wound care.

Required Qualifications

* M.D.; Board Certification in General Surgery; Board Eligibility in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; Completion of a Micro Fellowship.
