JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing technical support to Tier 1 customers and orchestrate engineering supports from the headquarters
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Provides technical support for customer base.
· Assists customers in interpretation of product specifications and test methods.
· Makes determination as to product/application problems prior to engineering involvement.
· Provides customer interface to internal departments.
· Defines action items and manages daily activity with global R&D locations including those of group companies to meet program qualification requirements.
· Writes and implements E.C.O.'s when required.
· Corresponds using multilingual skill set when needed for effective communication with global R&D, management, and sales teams.
· Identifies and internally communicates new markets and market niche potential (market trends) for development of new product offerings.
· Identifies and maintains a Key Engineering contact list for the region. Periodically contacts the individuals directly.
· Establishes relationship and communicates directly with design engineering.
· Aggressively pursues sample feedback with outside sales and directly with customer engineering groups.
· Support product management and marketing on all engineering related issues for releasing new product announcements to field sales.
· Participates in daily conference calls with global Nidec team regarding customer and product updates.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
· Travel to customer sites as required.
· Performs other related duties as required.
· Responsible for adherence to company safe work practices, safety regulations and good housekeeping.
· Responsible for adherence to company EEO policies.
· Provides input to competitive benchmarking database.
· Submit weekly reports summarizing the key activities and program development status
TRAVEL
This position requires up to 20% domestic/international business travel.
Requirements
· Four year technical engineering degree BSE, BSEE, BSEET, BSME, BSMET required or equivalent.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with small precision motors either in consumer or industrial segments.
· Must be organized and able to handle and prioritize many tasks.
· Must be a good listener especially when it comes to the conversation with the customers
· Strong attention to detail and process.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proven success working in a team-oriented work environment.
· Proven, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point.
· International business experience preferred.
· Comfortable to work individually, work with team and collaborate with other functional teams.
