Summary
Balfour Beatty Construction seeks a Project Engineer to work with our Education and Public Sector group in Dallas, TX. If you have a passion for what you do, a strong drive to achieve results, the ability to solve problems creatively, and a dedication to client service and relationship management, come join us.
The Project Engineer is an entry-level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of the construction project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.
This position involves zero overnight travel, as all work is in the DFW market.
Essential Functions
Preconstruction Services
Project Start-up and Scheduling
Project Administration, Coordination, and Close-out
Promote Customer Relations
Promote Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development
One six-month intern co-op with a construction company
Proficiency in using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)
Preferred Experience
One to three years of previous working experience
RFI
Change orders
Punch-list
Assisting with sub-contractor meeting minutes
