We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Risk Manager to be accountable to manage and execute enterprise wide as well as specific risk activities to support the business in identifying, prioritizing and managing risks effectively.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Enterprise Risk, you will be empowered to:
Assist in the development, implementation and improvement of enterprise risk management strategy, frameworks, policies, technologies, and tools
Manage and contribute to the implementation of initiatives that help drive OLG’s desired risk culture
Manage and facilitate risk identification, assessment, and response process in consideration of the chosen business strategy and objectives (at various levels including enterprise, division, project, etc.) in accordance with established standards and timelines
Identify emerging risks and risk indicators to assist in monitoring trends for new business initiatives and strategies
Provide subject matter expertise and conduct engagements that support management to explore opportunities and address risk concerns with a focus on optimizing organizational performance
Support the business in managing risk in compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and risk appetite
Create reports for management and the Board of Directors to ensure key stakeholders are informed of risks affecting OLG’s strategy
Maintain subject matter expertise on risk matters and engage in continual learning (e.g., participate in market research, seminars, and conferences)
Develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with management and senior leadership; generate trust and understanding between stakeholders and Risk Management to position the team as an independent and trusted advisor
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in a similar business environment. Sound understanding of enterprise risk management concepts, and knowledgeable of specific risk areas such as financial, and non-financial risk, IT risk, fraud risk, third-party risk, and project risk
Education: University degree or college diploma in business management, project management or related field. Professional designation in a related field an asset (i.e. CA, CISA, CISM, CFE, CPA, CRISC, CRM, FRM, PMP, PMI-RMP).
