MANAGER OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS - ONSITE
Position Summary
The MIS will install, upgrade, troubleshoot and manage the information department and systems of the
company.
Responsibilities
Supervisory, Interviews and hires IT staff
Organizes and oversees IT staff scheduling, training and performance evaluations
Handles disciplinary and praise actions as needed and in accordance with company policy
Non-Supervisory
Creates, maintains and ensures the stable operation of the company network and databases
Consistently schedules and implements updates and functionality tests; identifies and resolves any issues that are identified during the testing process
Develops, manages, and implements hardware maintenance, software support, network and remote
backups, upgrades, and Internet support
Schedules and produces periodic reports regarding IT functions and performance
Analyzes and recommends software and hardware to maximize productivity for all networks
Collaborates and coordinates with other departments and outside computer support vendors
Telephone system operation management
Network and building security management
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
Thorough understanding of networking systems, such as LAN and WAN
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Proficient in Infor SyteLine 10 ERP software
Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized company
applications, software, and hardware including Solidworks PDM, ACT!, GitLab, FrameMaker and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of various computer operating systems and interfaces
Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and best practices
Thorough understanding of network security
Excellent analytical/logical thinking and problem-solving skills
Discreet, with exceptional level of integrity
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Information Security, Computer Programming, or related field required
Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in Information Technology highly desired
At least ten years of MIS experience, with at least five years in a supervisory role, required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to climb stairs, keyboard, sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, see, hear read/speak English fluently and lift 40 pounds unassisted.
