About our Team

Our unique business model and culture attract driven professionals who are endlessly curious and determined to make an impact. We build deeply trusted relationships with each other and our clients. This environment creates an exceptional opportunity for accelerated development — cultivating the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Our commitment to diversity is embedded throughout our culture and approach to building relationships within our ecosystem. It is also a core objective of our work. We believe that bringing more diverse perspectives to the leadership table is critical to fixing healthcare and to our mission to make people healthier. Click here to learn more.

We hold ourselves to six core values: Intellectual Curiosity, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Ownership, Resilience, Collaboration and Spirit of Generosity. These values guide our every action — from the way we hire, to how we invest, to how we serve our clients.

Perhaps most importantly, we have a lot of fun together. As part of the Oxeon team, you might be asked to take over as office DJ, don a costume for Spirit Week, or teach us about your favorite hobby. We encourage laughter and celebration in our everyday work. Check out some highlights of our culture here .

About the Role Our Search Directors operate as our representatives in the market and key thought partners to our clients and leaders in the healthcare industry- both on the operating and investing side. You will be asked to develop a comprehensive understanding of our clients, their markets, products/services, competition, and differentiation. This will inform both the executive search process and Oxeon’s broader investment and company creation efforts.

You'll conduct market research and interviews with the management teams of our clients in order to develop a deep understanding of specific client needs with regard to human capital; you'll investigate both short and medium-term business objectives and how they align with people. You will utilize internal and external databases to source and engage potential executive-level candidates.

You'll lead a team on each search that is responsible for contacting and deeply interviewing prospective candidates by telephone, video, or in-person meetings. You will be assessing for cultural fit, interest level and overall level of expertise of these executives. (This is one of our favorite aspects of this job!)

You’ll interact with the leadership teams and Board of Directors at our client organizations to harmonize search direction and guide weekly search updates and conversations, serving as the Search Lead for 3-5 searches while also contributing to an additional 2-3 searches at any given time.

You’ll be responsible for leveraging your network to add new clients to the Oxeon portfolio that align with our market focus.

You will develop and leverage business development skills to continue increasing Oxeon’s brand across top investors and companies in the industry.

Perhaps most importantly, we'll trust you to hire and develop our most valuable asset - our people. You'll be responsible for both the day-to-day and long term growth of our high-performing Associates and Senior Associates through direct management and informal mentorship.

Requirements for the Role You exemplify our Core Values

You have 6-12 years of relevant work experience in executive recruiting that positions you to run an excellent search process as a strong client advisor, project manager, and people leader

You are able to steer teams toward effective research strategies and leverage your personal network as well as Oxeon's network to source and engage and build relationships with key members of our executive network

You have built a brand focused on credibility and reliability across multiple healthcare industry segments and functional areas

You have a strong track record as a talent manager and coach with responsibility for employee performance and development

You are a leader who regularly contributes to process and efficiency improvements and positive team culture, seeking opportunities to better your work, yourself, and those around you

You are someone who is constantly gathering insights and information and connecting the dots, with the ability to add value to our clients and companies beyond immediate executive search needs

You are motivated and excited to to learn, teach, and persevere in an entrepreneurial environment through high-pressure situations

What You Can Expect From Us A flexible, hybrid work model. We work together in the NYC and Seattle offices 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) and are flexible Mondays and Fridays. Additionally, everyone has additional “work from anywhere” days, where they can choose to work remotely for extended periods of time.

Quality time together. We spend time together at weekly lunches, annual offsites and events throughout the year to build culture, laugh, foster learning and development, and deepen relationships with one another.

Equity interest. We are relationship- and long-term results-oriented in all we do. We align firm and employee compensation with equity and team performance. Consistent with the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care, this approach eliminates transactions and invests us fully in the success of our clients and portfolio companies. Every Oxeon employee receives equity in Oxeon investments from day one.

Great compensation and benefits. We offer competitive compensation, 100% employer paid medical and dental insurance for you and your family (we are a healthcare company after all!), paid parental leave, 401k, great snacks, and a fun, flexible open-office environment.

Opportunity to give back. We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, which is why every employee is given volunteer opportunities and a generous annual philanthropic match to support causes important to them.

Salary Expectations Total cash compensation (base + bonus): $250,000-$290,000

Base: $150,000

Equity: Cash distributions are variable based on tenure and fund performance
