About The Role
The SandboxAQ team is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help develop and implement the next generation of cybersecurity systems. A successful candidate will be comfortable owning the end-to-end lifecycle of internal and external facing applications. The candidate will be part of a diverse team consisting of software engineers and cryptographers where they will play a key role in efficient and effective enablement of the technologies being developed.
What You'll Do
Design software that is performant at scale, while being robust, adaptable, and easy to maintain
Design, write code, build APIs, code reviews, etc
Be a key engineer for our public sector customer requirements
Build and optimize our platform reliability, availability, serviceability and performance
Contribute to initiatives aimed at scaling our systems, automation and processes
Aid in adoption of good software development practices
Support other developers to help them grow in skill and knowledge
About You
2-4 years of experience building software
Strong coding skills in several languages with proficiency in Python
Experience building, deploying, and maintaining web applications at scale, preferably involving PostgreSQL and GraphQL
Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices
Experience working one or more Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Motivation to learn about cryptography and how it is used in the industry
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
U.S. Citizenship and security clearance is required due to USG contract requirements
Preferred: Active TS with SCI eligibility within the last 2 years
