Responsibilities
Leverage techniques and tools (e.g. R, ArcGIS, Python) in data science, statistics, and geospatial analysis to assess and prioritize critical infrastructure assets and functions"
Use the organization's established prioritization schema methodology to develop these lists as necessary and as directed.
Ensure appropriate classification [SECRET/TS] markings and handling of materials, as necessary and as directed.
Develop decision support products providing insight to potential impacts of disruptions and interventions that can be made by or encouraged by the Federal government that could mitigate impacts to critical infrastructure.
Define an analytical and data-driven approach to leverage All Hazard Analysis data and IOC capability-based thresholds to down-select infrastructure assets that will be added to the IOC list to support steady-state and crisis actions efforts (e.g., hurricanes, wildfires).
Recommend and support implementation strategies to refine processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
Analyze the impact and mitigation of cyber and physical threats to critical infrastructure assets and systems.
Assess the risk and resilience of infrastructure assets and systems under different scenarios of disruption and interdependency.
Qualifications Strong background in data analytics, program management, and the ability to apply this knowledge in dynamic, all-threats, all-hazard environments.
The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors and expertise in navigating the complexities of physical and cyber infrastructure interdependencies.
Six (6) or more years of demonstrated experience acting as a senior data analyst, including at least three years applied to national security, defense security, or homeland security data.
Preferred degree in the fields of Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or Engineering and a have undertaken at least 24 credit hours of quantitative based coursework (in the fields of mathematics, statistics, or engineering), including at least six credit hours of calculus.
Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability (public trust) clearance.
Preferred Skills: Relevant certifications in the field of data science (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Data Management and Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Big Data - Specialty, or SAS Certified Big Data Professional)
Experience in presenting and communicating the results of analysis to project stakeholders.
