Description
SCOPE:
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Department and Business Units in establishing financial management disciplines, completing tactical and strategic analytics and supporting the Annual Operating Planning process, short and long-range forecasting, modeling, score carding and benchmarking. This position reports to the company's Director of Finance. There will be a significant amount of collaboration with the business leader(s) of the division this role aligns with. Additionally, the role will routinely be working with other members outside the department in collaboration, financial training, process improvement/development and financial analytic support roles.
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
Analyzing current and past financial data and performance
Preparing reports and projections based on financial and business analysis
Evaluating current capital expenditures and Return on Investment
Establishing and evaluating profit plans
Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
Providing financial models and forecasting
Support coordination of the company's annual Operating Plan process which results in the company's annual Operating Plan and Budget.
Support the execution of the annual Operating Plan/Budget process for defined business units, including providing Finance Office Guidelines that support the budget preparation, through consolidation, all cash flow preparation and covenant calculation.
Support preparation of the business units long-range financial forecasts and all associated, options, sensitivity analysis, etc.
Business unit support in coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
Thought partner for financial management and analytic support to business unit leaders
Support in preparation of all required forecasts, analytics and ad-hoc reporting requests
Participation in all information sharing/benchmarking/study group organizations the company is a member of.
Support the development of benchmarks into the company's scorecards and performance reporting including Operational as well as Financial performance metrics.
Utilize Strategic thought processes, market data, internal data to support and develop strategic recommendations

Work as a part of the finance team ensuring internal and external customer needs are handled with an emphasis on customer service
Maintain interaction with the peers and cross functional team members
Assist in maintaining updated process/procedure documentation

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS Degree in Accounting, preferred MBA or CPA
3+ years of experience in financial management, including Sr. level roles in either Accounting or Finance (Controller, Sr. Financial roles, etc.)
Excellent computer skills, particularly in the preparation of complex financial models.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of key stakeholder (e.g. Banks, Board) Reporting Packages, Management Discussions and Analysis and other effective communication packages
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Operates in a professional office environment.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of times, talk, and hear.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, with the ability to reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
