Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in image processing and specific expertise in MRI scans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of computer science principles and techniques, with a focus on data collection, data cleaning, feature extraction and selection, model building, and model evaluation and analysis. Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch is a must, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in these technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advanced algorithms and techniques for processing and analyzing MRI scans.

Apply computer vision and machine learning techniques to extract relevant information and features from medical images.

Conduct data collection, preprocessing, and cleaning tasks to ensure the quality and integrity of the datasets used for analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical professionals and software engineers, to understand the requirements and objectives of image processing projects.

Design and build machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, tailored to the specific needs of MRI data analysis.

Perform model training, optimization, and validation to achieve accurate and reliable results.

Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of model outputs, providing insights and recommendations to support clinical decision-making and research initiatives.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning, and proactively apply new methodologies and techniques to improve existing processes.

Communicate findings and results effectively through presentations, reports, and visualizations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Strong background and at least 5 years of practical experience in image processing, particularly with MRI scans.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in data collection, data cleaning, feature extraction and selection, model building, and model evaluation and analysis.

Proficiency in Python programming language and deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Familiarity with computer vision techniques, such as image segmentation, object detection, and image classification.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to diverse audiences.

Proven track record of delivering successful projects and achieving high-quality results in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the healthcare or medical imaging industry.

Familiarity with medical imaging formats, such as DICOM, and relevant tools and libraries.

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with distributed computing frameworks.

Publication record in relevant conferences or journals.
