Product Specialist (San Francisco)

San Francisco, CA, United States

About us:

Parabola is transforming the way companies operate by empowering non-technical teams to automate complex data processes with ease.

Our mission is to provide non-technical teams ("operators") with the same type of leverage as their technical counterparts. We do this by providing a no-code platform to build, automate and collaborate on data workflows. By empowering teams to solve the problems they're already experts on, Parabola helps businesses of all shapes and sizes improve operations, drive revenue and, ultimately, operate with excellence.

Parabola is proud to partner with companies like Flexport, Sonos, Volcom and Durex and is backed by OpenView, Matrix, Thrive Capital, and many other amazing angel investors.

About the role:

Product Specialists at Parabola work hand-in-hand with our Account Executives and Launch Managers to help prospects and customers reach their goals. They will help execute on the overall customer strategy by helping answer customer questions, quickly unblocking them as they build their Flows, and enabling all users on the full capabilities of our product.

The Product Specialist role is highly cross-functional, collaborating closely with our Sales, Launch, Product, and Marketing teams. You are the company’s eyes and ears when it comes to our customers’ experience and how we can continue to improve it. Each day will be dynamic, interfacing with many different companies, people, and challenges. It’s a role that’s designed to equip you with deep knowledge of our customers and our product which will set you up for success in careers within our Launch, Post Sales, and Product teams.

About you:

You are empathetic and solving the challenges of your customers and their businesses is what fuels you to do your best work. You are naturally curious and love learning about new industries, technologies, and use cases and love the feeling of having helped solve a complex problem. You’re comfortable with data and have direct experience working in SQL, Excel, and/or other data analytics tools. Most importantly, you love to roll up your sleeves and pride yourself on your “figure it out and get it done” mentality. You execute quickly without sacrificing quality and juggle different priorities in a clear and organized way.

What you'll be doing:

Become a product expert on our no-code platform, continuously collaborating with our Sales and Launch teams on the priority and strategy of the customers we work with.

Document and surface feedback from customers to our Product and Engineering Teams in a clear, organized, and actionable way.

Answering a diverse array of questions from our customers via Slack, email, Intercom, and our public-facing community.

Jumping on live calls and leading onboarding sessions with our customers to help enable and unblock them in real time.

Identifying new prospects or expansion opportunities with our existing customers.

As an foundational team member, you'll actively help build and improve processes that will help the Product Specialist team scale.

What (we think) you’ll need to do it:

Past customer/client-facing experience--this can include internships. Past experience working with SQL and APIs is a bonus!

Demonstrated track record of executing on tasks quickly while keeping an incredibly high bar for quality.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to navigate competing priorities.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, preferably in small, fast-paced start-up environment.

Excellent written and verbal communicator with a knack for building relationships quickly.

Champion a growth mindset-- you're open to receiving feedback openly and continuously improving your craft!

Nice to haves:

Previous experience working with no/low code tools.

Previous experience working with SQL and APIs (ex: past coursework in computer science, data science, data analysis)

Previous experience working in a startup environment.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000

This salary range represents the minimum and maximum for this role based in San Francisco. The salary given for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including years of experience, interview performance and anticipated responsibilities of the role. Our base salary is one component of Parabola’s competitive total package, which also includes equity and premium health and wellness benefits.
