As the Senior Lighting Designer, you will work with the Principals and manage a team developing lighting solutions for commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential projects. The Senior Lighting Designer operates as the day-to-day' lead designer and project manager for their associated projects. The Senior Lighting Designer is responsible for bringing design solutions to life' that adhere to the established firm's design, branding, and creative direction. They are expected to be proficient in all phases of work, be able to lead and manage a project at the highest level, and represent the firm externally to all parties. This Senior Lighting Designer role calls for a highly motivated, inspirational team member who is organized, knowledgeable and understands industry needs.
Qualifications
An accredited professional degree within the design industry (i.e., architecture, lighting design, interior design, etc.) - or work equivalent
5+ years of lighting industry experience
Excellent client management skills
Expertise in AutoCAD & Revit
Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Fluency in Adobe CS3 (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proficiency in AGI 3.2 or other lighting calculation software
Expertise with CA Title 24 code compliance (commercial and residential versions)
Excellent attention to detail
Great time management skills
Ability to manage projects and team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English proficiency
