**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking an experienced **Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager** specializing in leading National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance processes for immediate employment in our Dallas, Austin or Houston, TX offices. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the US and will have the staff resources from across the western US extending from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada available to assist in project delivery.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Provides project management and technical leadership on environmental planning and compliance projects, including those for compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

+ Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.

+ Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business resulting from client satisfaction.

+ Consistently delivers profit margins planned.

+ Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.

+ Manages more complex clients and projects.

+ Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.

+ Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to project risks.

+ May supervise and mentor team members with multiple projects or programs assignments.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Biology, Environmental Planning, Natural/Biological Resource Management or other related field experience.

+ 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with environmental planning and compliance project experience, including those for compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

+ Valid driver's license is required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Masters degree in relevant field

+ 10 years of work experience in related field, environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, natural resources management, and/or cultural resources management consulting industry.

+ Strong, current and recent experience with federal agencies, state agencies, tribes, and local entities.

+ Demonstrated leadership in proposal development and successful pursuit of competitive bids.

+ Experience with environmental permitting, NEPA, relevant environmental regulations and processes, and the associated public engagement processes

+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex interdisciplinary environmental planning projects, including client interaction, schedule and budget controls, and invoicing.

+ Strong experience with client relationship building and leading and delivering environmental permitting services, including ability to manage projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface with clients.

+ Established agency and client relationships with ability to market and win work successfully and effectively for the team, office and region as related to the energy, electric transmission, utility, and other industrial sectors (e.g., mining, high-tech).

+ Experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing and mentoring staff.

+ High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment.

+ Organizational management skills and ability to delegate, multi-task and perform detail-oriented work.

**Additional Information**

+ Due to the nature of this role, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00.
