This position engages in inspecting the product at all stages through the production activities
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
The candidate must be a team player, should be able to work independently, act decisively, and have above average planning and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Experience:
Five years experience in CNC programming and machine operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks is a plus.
Education:
A minimum of high school education or GED with previous experience is required.
Two or four year degree is preferable, but not mandatory
Working Conditions:
Sitting, walking, and standing for up to 10 hours in the day. Able to lift 25 lbs. as required. Minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours. Some overtime may be required.
Authority
Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to the product, process, and quality system period to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through destinated channels. To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Experienced with Coordinate Measurement Machines
2. Experienced with PC-DMIS
3. Able to teach or write CMM programs within PC-DMIS
4. Completion of AS9102 first article inspection records
5. Receiving, in process and final inspection and related C of C's and certification documentation
6. Capable of understanding GD&T requirements on drawings
7. Process nonconforming product and document in Simpetrack
8. Update Pentagon and process work orders
9. Work with different departments on product review and improvements
10. Follow related Procedures/Work Instructions/MI's/CMM
11. Receiving inspection
12. Review drawing for verification during inspection activities
13. Review ATP's and verify data results
14. Review work order during inspection to make sure all steps have been properly completed
15. Communicate with customers
16. Participate in supporting activities related to the Business Management System
17. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary
