How you will make an impact: In this key role you will oversee the West Coast Key Account Sales Team to execute on strategic growth plans to achieve the organization's goals and objectives. You will be actively identifying new prospects and maintain long term key customers by understanding their business and applications to provide solutions. In this field-based role you will travel throughout the West Coast Key Account Sales territory. Build and develop an efficient sales team to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction across the area of responsibility
Directly supervise, coach, develop, and train the Key Account Managers within the sales region, as well as leading key account management efforts
Focus on team development, building a talent pipeline, and commercial skills training
Lead strategic direction for the territory; Develop sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within assigned territory; maintain pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives
Drive the sales planning process: establish sales targets and objectives,
Acquire new and expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
The skills and experience you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Business, and/or related experience
3+ years leading a field-based sales team
5+ years field sales experience, B2B sales experience to the Life Science industry
50% travel, mostly within the specified region
Based out of San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles Area
Has a solid understanding of Life Science Single Use and/or Filtration Technology Consumables and the competitive landscape
Experience achieving ambitious sales targets with accurate forecasting and solid sales fundamentals
Proficient with CRM Adaptation and CRM Pipeline Management

US BASE PAY SCALE $112,000 - $160,000 The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
