**SUMMARY**

The primary purpose of the Senior Research Assistant position is to provide supervision, special training to technical personnel, and/or highly technical work in medical and related research projects. The Senior Research Assistant conducts experiments in the area of molecular and cellular biology of cancer.

**JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES**

Strong applicants will have knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas:

• Mouse handling & colony maintenance

• Tumor immunology & cancer immunotherapy

• In vivo mouse models

• Cell culture of cancer cell lines & primary cells

• Multi-color flow cytometry (FACS) & cell sorting

• Single-cell RNA-seq & ATAC-seq

• Data analysis & interpretation

**DUTIES**

Maintaining mouse colonies (weaning, genotyping etc.) and assisting postdoctoral researchers with experiments, tumor models and murine disease models. Eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities associated with building a new lab and establishing yourself as a lab manager.

**Required Education:** Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.

**Preferred Education:** Master's Level Degree.

**Experience:** Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.

**Preferred Experience** - Animal experience (mice)
