**Position Summary:**

Performs custodial maintenance duties and related services to provide proper care to a section or unit of a building. May assist with non-technical animal care services.

**Position Key Accountabilities:**

- Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, and sanitizes various floor and wall surfaces in hallways, laboratories, animal rooms, and surgery and procedure rooms.

- Monitors and stocks PPE supplies.

- Cleans, dusts, polishes and sanitizes equipment, counters and hoods.

- Operates washers and dryers to wash and dry scrubs and other items. Folds and packages laundry for pickup by staff members.

- Empties waste baskets and trash boxes in procedure rooms and animal areas.

- May assist with animal diet preparation, feeding and other non-technical animal care duties.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Education:**

High school degree or equivalent.

**Minimum Experience:**

**Physical Requirements:**

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
