ExecuSource has partnered with a reputable healthcare group in Duluth, GA in the search for a Clinical Pharmacist to work within their oncology department. This is a direct-hire/permanent opportunity with a Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p with rotating weekend and holiday coverage schedule. Experience within oncology is preferred but not required.
What you get to do:
Manage all medication-related needs for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and those undergoing stem cell transplants.
Deliver patient care for inpatients, outpatients in infusion centers, and outpatients in physician clinics, including daily patient rounds across all settings.
Conduct extensive patient and staff education, spearhead investigational drug research, supervise technician compounding in outpatient environments, implement medication safety protocols, and oversee all medication management policies and procedures.
Provide comprehensive training for pharmacy students and residents in both PGY-1 and PGY-2 programs.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage a high patient volume, work collaboratively in a team, exhibit leadership skills, and show an interest in direct patient care, projects, quality improvement, and medication safety.
Prior experience in oncology pharmacy is preferred, with a particular emphasis on those who have completed a residency or have experience in leukemia, lymphoma, or stem cell transplant.
What you need to succeed:
Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
Doctor of Pharmacy OR Masters Degree with completion of a residency in the assigned clinical area or equivalent experience.
Two (2) years of previous hospital pharmacy experience
