The Opportunity
The Admissions Specialist, reporting to the Campus Director, is responsible for managing the student admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment. This role involves evaluating applications, conducting interviews, and assisting prospective students and their families with admissions. The Admissions Specialist will
work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions experience while meeting enrollment goals and maintaining compliance with institutional policies.
The Details
Key Deliverables:
Admissions Process Management Guide prospective students through the admissions process, providing information on programs, requirements, and application procedures.
Evaluate applications and supporting documents to determine eligibility for admission.
Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their qualifications and fit for the institution.
Communication and Outreach Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students and their families via
phone, email, and in-person meetings.
Conduct informational sessions, campus tours, and open houses to engage with
potential applicants.
Maintain regular communication with applicants to keep them informed of their
application status and next steps.
Collaboration and Coordination Work with academic departments, financial aid, and student services to ensure a
seamless admissions process.
Coordinate with marketing and outreach teams to develop and implement
recruitment strategies.
Participate in recruitment events, college fairs, and community outreach activities
to promote the institution.
Data Management and Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicant information and admissions
decisions in the admissions database.
Generate reports on admissions metrics and trends to support data-driven
decision-making.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
regarding admissions.
Student Support Assist admitted students with the enrollment process, including registration, orientation, and campus tours.
Provide information and support on financial aid options, scholarships, and other resources.
Address any concerns or questions from students and their families throughout
the admissions process.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using admissions databases, customer relationship management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with higher education policies, procedures, and regulations.
Working Conditions This position typically requires working in an office environment.
May require occasional travel for recruitment events, college fairs, and outreach
activities.
Some evening or weekend hours may be necessary to accommodate
prospective students’ schedules and recruitment events.
LOCATION: Dallas, TX, or within a 40 mile radius
