About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting and Controller to join their dynamic and socially conscious team. This pivotal role is not just about numbers; it's about protecting and enhancing the unique company culture while leading the Payroll and Accounting Teams in all financial operations and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial statements, maintaining current with GAAP, and leading the team in a high-growth environment. Strategic leadership is also a key aspect of the role, including coaching and developing team members and building cross-functional relationships. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem-solver with a strong background in both accounting and payroll and the ability to operate with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting and Controller position at the company should be prepared to bring a wealth of experience to the table. This includes a minimum of 10 years in accounting, with a mix of public and industry-specific roles, 3 years of multi-state payroll management, and 5 years in a leadership capacity. A CPA license is required, with a CMA being considered, and a background in the restaurant industry is preferred. The role demands a candidate who is not only proficient in technical accounting but also excels in strategic vision and is able to inspire and motivate their team. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-growth, fast-paced environment is essential, as is the stamina to work 45 to 55 hours per week.
