About The Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Product Development to lead the strategic and operational aspects of global cross-functional product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing development strategies from proof of concept through regulatory approval for new drug candidates, indications, delivery routes, and formulations. This role requires a Ph.D. in a scientific field or a PharmD, DVM, or MD degree, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in clinical research, particularly in the respiratory therapy area. The VP will be the key point of accountability for the clinical development plan, ensuring its timely and within-budget delivery, and will provide scientific and managerial leadership for research and development functions, including clinical science and biostatistics. Applicants must have a proven track record in late-stage development programs, a deep understanding of clinical trial design, biostatistical principles, and the drug development process. Strong leadership skills are essential for managing high-performing, cross-functional teams and for fostering effective partnerships. The role also involves overseeing the authoring of clinical and regulatory documents, participating in new business opportunity assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will be adept at resolving complex issues, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to drive projects to completion within set constraints. Flexibility, business acumen, and the ability to travel are also required.
