Job Description

Job Title: Risk and Insurance Graduate Program Manager

Office/Regions available: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, San Francisco and St. Louis; other locations may be considered, and hybrid work arrangements.

A day in the life.

The Risk and Insurance Graduate Program Manager will work collaboratively with key leaders to build, implement, and manage a pre-eminent entry program that creates a pipeline of fungible expertise across the Actuarial and IAM practices that enables recruitment of top talent while generating significant brand recognition, drawing from key risk management, insurance, business, actuarial, and other relevant programs to bring and build the expertise, collaboration, and capacity we need for the future.

You can expect:

An opportunity to design, implement, and manage a strategic initiative that delivers a best-in-class global rotational training program that produces uniquely skilled consultants of the future positioned to support transformative work in the risk and insurance space to help solve the most challenging problems for clients.

To engage and build relationships with key internal business leaders and C-suite stakeholders to acquire the data, buy-in, and decisions necessary to co-create, support, and manage this new program to successful outcomes.

We will rely on you to: Be a relationship builder who can work collaboratively across the business to develop a full understanding of our vision and goals to ensure the creation of a program that supports our five-year drive to become a $1B Juggernaut and advances the pre-eminence of the Oliver Wyman brand.

Lead the build out, development, and implementation of the global program from recruitment to graduation, working collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the end-product meets the needs of the business and the participants.

Work with Practice Leaders and technical subject matter experts to identify training needs and devise training plans for program participants.

Design and implement an engaging and impactful training curriculum that ensures development of required skills and knowledge for success.

Develop detailed program delivery roadmaps, including resources, outcomes, schedules, costs, assumptions, dependencies, and communications.

Serve as a subject matter expert in design and delivery, providing guidance and support to the wider business in defining the right approaches and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose.

Foster effective relationships with senior business partners and third-party vendors, facilitating timely decision-making and communication of progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.

Provide effective and values-led management to the program participants, including goal setting and tracking, delivery of performance assessment and review, provision of regular feedback, monitoring of progress against program metrics, support in creating and executing development plans, and other people management duties as needed.

Ensure consistent and meaningful communication with Program Sponsors, Practice Leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and timely feedback on program and program participants is solicited, received, assessed, and utilized to inform changes that improve overall program outcomes.

Ensure a steady pipeline of appropriate projects and activities that both support business deliverables and advance participant development through collaborative relationships with key internal business leaders.

Relevant program management qualification: MSP/PMI/APM or equivalent.

Your Physical Demands & Work Environment requires: Travel to geographies hosting participants likely to be required.

Work occurs during regular day hours as well as occasional extended hours and schedule flexibility necessary to complete tasks to meet needs.
