Join the Generative AI revolution and help workers focus on the best parts of their jobs instead of mundane tasks! Microsoft’s Business Applications and Platform (BAP) organization creates tools to increase the productivity and satisfaction of business users (sales reps, customer support agents, field technicians, marketers) and make creating apps, websites, bots, and automation easier.

In the last year we have started transforming the day-to-day of our users through the introduction of Copilots, which has led to real business impacts: increased productivity for sellers, shorter time to resolve customer support issues, and lower barrier to entry for makers.

The BAP Copilot Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) team develops platform components that benefit all BAP Copilots in the Dynamics and Power suite. Our mission is to maximize the business impact that AI has across business applications offerings. We’re improving the business outcomes that our customers care about. We are a diverse team of talented product managers, technical program managers, data scientists, and software engineers with experience in delivering scalable products which leverage the best of Microsoft and other technologies.

We build different AI technologies together with multiple product teams in the Business Applications space, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dynamics 365 Sales, and Dynamics 365 Customer Service. Capabilities shipped in the last several months include: the ability to converse over data using only natural language (we generate the SQL from your words), to generate answers from trusted enterprise knowledge sources, to create content (reports, emails, marketing campaigns), to translate natural language to code, and more. With these investments, we were the first in the market to offer generative AI capabilities in CRMs, ERPs, and low code platforms.

And we’re just getting started.

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible, innovative, Software Engineer to help us build the next infrastructure generation to support many fine-tuned models and small language models. Day-to-day you will build components that help our data scientists gain ability and accelerate their efficiency for building, training, optimizing, and releasing models to multiple target ecosystems.

We value everyone’s opinion and ideas and have built a diverse and inclusive team over the years with low turnover and great work life balance. We seek an engineer who is passionate about helping data scientist teams deliver complete, production-quality machine learning models, with high performance over large data sets, and with low latency and high availability. You will join a team of customer-focused engineers motivated to build great enterprise products who can partner with other product teams and engineers to facilitate the integration of our models in their solutions.

Join us to be part of the Copilot revolution and to help our users become supercharged versions of themselves.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more, and we’re dedicated to this mission across every aspect of our company. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. Join us and help shape the future of the world.

In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
