The Operational lead will be both a strategic and operational leader responsible for design and execution of the eBay Collectibles key partnership and initiatives. This includes leaning in to lead existing M&A integrations working hands-on to identify and lead integration conversations founded in core synergies, while contributing thought-leadership to net new investment activities. This role is the operating partner to Director/BU lead across integration, standalone and synergy with a high focus on Rev Ops, Biz Ops and Strategy
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all project planning and execution support. Leading the development of detailed synergy working team project plans, meetings, and key deliverables dates/delivery on time
Partnering with the eBay M&A Integration Team daily to provide updates on commercial and integration progress and support needed
Partnering directly with the Synergy PMO to build commercial execution plans and manage to fruition breaking down barriers together
Leading the development of weekly/monthly status updates to vertical leadership on synergy status
Responsible for leading the financial model actualization and goaling
Rev Ops: Building data driven approach to client strategy spanning. Driving who are we targeting globally and how are the teams approaching customers and driving revenue
Rev Ops: Building a data driven approach to merchandising strategy. This role will work closely with the category manager but drive memorabilia market
Biz Ops: Work with Product to advise on opportunities to enable synergies and build with Direct hiring and scaling plan to support
Inventory Management: Create a post sale services program whereby GCX is driving outreach for customers to collect items but also aged inventory is removed
Reporting: Act as center excellence for reporting whereby integration reporting, synergy reporting, standalone reporting, and operations reporting are funneled
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with experience in corporate or operational strategy, and a seasoned operator who understands the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces, operates with strong accountability, collaborates well with cross-functional partners, and always considers the needs of our customers first. Additionally, operate as a senior leader amongst the broader team bringing professional maturity to investing in a high-performance team's development and growth.
Qualifications:
Passion for developing operational strategies for a two-sided online retailer
Experience in and passion for the Trading Cards or Collectibles category with a keen focus on monitoring and designing leading customer-first digital experiences
Excitement to engage with customers directly, and a strong desire to help eBay win in a very dynamic and digitally disrupted industry
Highly analytical with the ability to independently build & maintain financial models
A Strong cross-functional partner with experience leading large teams through influence
Executive-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story backed by data
High degree of ownership, strong project management skills, and commitment to results
Organized problem solver who balances attention to detail with efficiency
Ambition to grow professionally and willingness to work hard, learn/adapt, and provide feedback both upward and to peer teams
Requirements
10+ years of experience in an online marketplace, digital platform, or related e-commerce business
5+ years in a collectibles or trading cards related business
5+ years of experience in Management Consulting, M&A or strategic partnerships capacity
BA/BS required, MBA or similar graduate degree preferred
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$144,000 - $216,150
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
