To help us drive excellence, as a Toolmaker you’ll get to:
Maintain, build, and upgrade dies, fixtures, and gauges.
Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
Demonstrate good short- and long-term decision making in these areas:
Tooling troubleshooting
Diagnosis of problem and courses of action
Tool room repair and maintenance work
Tool Room machining practices
Program timing, meeting deadlines
Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
Promote teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments.

This full-time role is a part of our Tooling Department and reports to the Plant Manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to run all tool room and precision equipment efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work with the following tools or machinery.
o Micrometers
o Calipers
o Scales
o Crane
o Hilo ****
Education and/or Experience:
· High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or eight years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
· Journeyman Certification preferred.

Ability to work under direct supervision and follow specific guidelines.
Able to operate basic machines, basic troubleshooting and perform basic maintenance and repairs.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a strong attention to detail.
Must be able to operate well in a team environment.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, repetitive hand motion required and able to lift / push up to 50lbs.
Must have the ability to achieve standard production and quality goals.
Must becapable of performing basic mechanical adjustments and job setups to reduce equipment downtime.
