The Opportunity

The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Project Management Team with the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major electric transmission and substation projects. The Associate Project Manager will help support the Project Managers with documentation and life cycle status support focused on clear and accurate communication and documentation. The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects. This position must be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do

Provide project management support for leadership for large and complex electric transmission and substation projects.

Responsible for supporting the leadership of projects through all client processes, and navigate the project life cycle, project scope, schedule, and cost.

Manage life cycle documentation and report on current status of life cycle documentation

Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan associated with the project life cycle.

Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required.

Aid in assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans.

Proactively manages project requests for information and action items.

Work collaboratively with the Project Management and Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Consistently produce results that meet our client’s goals and objectives, maintain high work standards, and understand the business environment and processes.

What We Expect From You

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of 1-3 years of project management support experience required. electric utility transmission and substation desired.

Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.

Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required.

Ability to travel occasionally for project- and client-related needs.

Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).

Experience with Primavera desired.

Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives.

In office 3 days per week.

Must have permanent work authorization for the US.

Additional Opportunity Details:

Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $83,500*

The salary displayed represents the middle of a range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
