As an experienced software architect, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We're looking for a software engineer to develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production ready system, in an exciting, agile environment. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support a data initiative necessary for this role. As an AI and ML architect on our Accelerator Team, you'll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.

In this role, you'll lead the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit AI and ML algorithms and introducing leading-edge technologies. You'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to our clients. Using your expertise, you'll analyze the environment to ensure that your team's solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.You'll share your knowledge with a large community of AI and ML architects across the firm and collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, solution architects, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions to real-world problems. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of AI and ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:

3+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods

3+ years of experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks

Experience with containerization for application deployment, including Docker or Kubernetes

Experience with Java, Python, C#, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal

Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

3+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data

Experience with distributed data and computing tools Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka

Experience with a public cloud, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google

Experience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting

Experience with Agile engineering practices

Experience writing technical documentation

Knowledge of industry Cyber Security practices

Ability to quickly adapt and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
