Duties:
Handle intellectual property litigation cases, specializing in biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Collaborate with technical experts and professionals to understand complex scientific and engineering concepts
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal advice
Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies
Analyze and assess the merits of intellectual property claims and defenses
Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and relevant scientific and technical fields
Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services
Requirements:
Experience in intellectual property litigation
Law firm experience and a technical degree are preferred
Aptitude for working on cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields
Outstanding academic credentials
Patent litigation experience is required
Superior written and oral communication skills
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Technical degree (preferred)
Certifications:
Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction
Skills:
