Walmart Connect is Walmart's advertising platform for brands, uniquely designed to reach hundreds of millions of U.S. shoppers across their entire shopping journey. We connect billions of shopping behaviors to real transactions (both online and in-store), and help marketers truly understand how their marketing drives results.

The Walmart Connect Brand Strategy team is looking for a seasoned senior storyteller with exceptional skills creating presentations for media ad sales teams to help evolve the Walmart Connect narratives to prove through data and persuade our target audiences to take action and ultimately drive ad sales revenue.

The ideal candidate has superb communication, storytelling, writing, management, and collaboration skills with a proven track record for crafting impactful B2B presentation decks.

Position Description

Work in lockstep with the Director of Brand Strategy to drive MarCom, Sales, & Brand initiatives to drive must-buy status for Walmart Connect in the retail media industry

Work alongside Brand leadership to determine/develop macro storylines and narratives for Walmart Connect

Iterate key narrative for important top-to-top buying moments like CES, Cannes and annual Joint Business Partnership season

Lead regular connects with Sales leadership and Category Strategy teams to create compelling micro narratives and presentations to support revenue growth goals for Strategic Business Units (Food, Consumables, General Merchandise)

Support Director in the creation of an annual MarCom plan, doing your part to keep leadership informed on progress and results

Craft key message themes, strategies, and presentations to shape and communicate our vision and mission

Create marketing plans to amplify messages across tactics like collateral, emails, whitepapers, website copy, case studies, infographics

Mine custom brand health studies for insights to guide messaging strategy, and use advertising performance metrics to offer target audiences reasons to believe

Suggest new proof points for the research and performance teams to work towards

Become the expert in our competitive set to find unique reasons to believe that can be owned by Walmart Connect

Ensure that all content is on-brand and consistent across all channels

Drive operating efficiency & compliance with internal partners for marketing principles like effective briefings, creative reviews, and brand consistency

Manage 2 Brand Managers: Leading a healthy and positive team culture

Implementing plans to coach, motivate and develop individuals on the team-with clarity on personal goals and growth plans

Nurture key relationships for crucial collaboration for both strategic inputs and executional support, including:

Executive and Sales leadership to identify priorities and make sure your work ladders up to broader business objectives

Product Marketing team to ensure ad products are represented effectively in narratives

Category Strategists to gather impactful and actionable data and insights

XFN Marketing Strategists to understand each target audience segment

Corporate Communications, Event Managers, Training and Development team and more

Requirements

10+ years' experience in media ad sales marketing

People management skills

Product marketing, retail, or advertising agency experience a plus

Deep experience and passion for brand storytelling, creating unique sales propositions and presentations

Strong writing and creative thinking, and power point presentation creation skills a must

Masterful at translating consumer insights to meaningful audience, messaging & creative strategy

Track record in leading impactful, breakthrough marketing initiatives that exceed business objectives

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment

HOBOKEN, New Jersey US-10279/Los Angeles, California US-10988:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
